Rim Technologies is pleased to announce that we are participating in a new cybersecurity internship program for high school students in Colorado Springs. Starting this week, we are welcoming two high school students for a paid 6-week internship where they will have the opportunity to learn the basics of cybersecurity and get real on-the-job experience. We have a severe shortage in the industry, and getting high school students interested in the field of cybersecurity will help to fill that gap, as well as giving students practical experience in a growing field.
“We are excited to welcome our two interns this week,” Kinney said. “We are looking forward to introducing them to our industry and giving them the skills and experience they need to succeed.”
This internship program is an opportunity to build our workforce in Colorado Springs while exposing high school students to a unique career path they might not have known existed. The Colorado Springs Business Journal recently published an article about the program for those who are interested in learning more about how it came to be: http://www.csbj.com/2017/06/16/teens-join-cyber-profession/
